The article I found about national government talks about how the Australian prime minister is coming to the White House for a visit. This is significant, as there has only been one other visitor to the White House during the Trump tenure, which was the French prime minister. On the other hand, Trump has made diplomatic visits to Asian countries and European countries, as well as the Vatican to visit the Pope. The importance of this article is that it details why this meeting is happening. The current situation in Iran and the Middle East is an ugly one that is deteriorating more and more as time goes on, and the U.S. and Australia hope to work together as military allies, and discuss China due to Trump's need for decisions on what to do with these respective countries/regions.

Introduction to Jacob Algaze (Blog Post #1, US Gov Fall 2019)
Hello! My name is Jacob Algaze and I am a freshman attending Austin Community College, through the Texas A&M Chevron Engineering Academy. I am 18 years old and graduated high school in 2019 from Round Rock High School in Round Rock, Texas. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and moved to Damascus, Maryland (thirty minutes from Washington, D.C.) very young, in which I lived there until the end of the third grade. In the summer before fourth grade, I moved to Round Rock, Texas and attended Fern Bluff Elementary school (go bobcats!). In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym to stay fit and healthy, as well as going bass fishing at creeks and rivers. I also enjoy hiking a lot, as I hiked Colorado this summer with some buddies and did 40 miles in three days! Anyways, I am a person who enjoys to learn from others and help others, and am excited for what this class holds this year.
